Below is the official certification requirement:
The IN4T certificate designates the holder as being “highly-qualified,” earning maximum funding for your school based on the CPI Report. Currently, the IN4T certificate requires the holder to complete an educator preparation program within three years in order to earn a Professional Certificate. In June 2017, IN4T certificates will be issued for one (1) year pending verification of enrollment in a GaPSC-approved educator preparation program. Once enrolled in a GaPSC-approved program, the certificate may be extended for two additional years if requested by the employing LUA. Teachers who are not enrolled in a GaPSC-approved program after the initial one-year validity period may be issued a certificate for an additional year upon the request of the employing LUA. Once enrolled in a GaPSC-approved program, the certificate may be extended for a third year if requested by the employing LUA
